If you live near a BigAl's, check them out, they have decent prices on their tanks. I got my 35 gallon for $42CAN with taxes.

Big al's is SUPER expensive for tanks, any local fish store has better tank prices than big al's. You could probably find one for way cheaper than $160.00. I bought my 46g for about $70 canadian. Just look in your local buy and sell, you can find awesome deals on tanks.

Check with your local Petsmart. I just bought a 55g with hood for $99.00 + tax.

yes, walmart tanks are fairly cheap and not to bad but you can always look at your local fish store. I bought a used 75 gallon plexiglass tank with filtration in back, with pc lights, and a large filter for $100. It was a nice deal, i knew the shop owner so ask around, sometimes your LFS can get you deals on tanks too.

I looked at petsmart and the lowest price for a 50 gallon tank is $380.00. They are all acrylic also and I want glass. That was on the website though so I'll look at the actuall store. I'm 14 so I can't drive and my mother is sick of my fish hobby. By the way, What does LFS stand for. It's probably pretty obvious and I'll hit myself on the head when I find out. What is LFS?

I got a 30 gallon with a canister fluval 203, heater, gravel, light, thermometre, stand for 125$ CAN. Happiest deal of my life :)

LFS is local fish store. And, I agree, you should ask your LFS. I got my 75gallon w/ hood for around $180 new because they discontinued the color.
