I have a co2 natural plant system that i bought at the store. it says it only for a 20 gallon tank but i got it anyway after having trouble with diy co2. i have a 46 gallon tank. would it be too much to have both the store bought one AND my diy co2? i just finished rebuilding my diy system but i wasnt sure if i could use both or if that would be too much co2

Seeing as how most ppl use two 2l bottles of the diy stuff for tanks over 40g, i say go for it. When i owned the Hagen co2 product it hardly did anything for my 25g, i dont see a problem of running both.

Save money don't by the refills, its the same thing as the diy sugar and yeast.

In fact, take back the the whole system and just make two diy 2l bottles, you can buy the ladder seperate and save money

I had my first one on my 20 gallon long and with 1.5wpg it worked great. It's made for a 20 to 30 gallon tank. I now have three on my 56 gallon tank.
