removing algea in disuc/stingray tank

More frequent water changes, control the introduced nutrients, and clean up after each feeding. Manually clean the sides regularly, and add floating plants to help control nutrients (duckweed would be good). Most of the good algae cleaners only perform well as juveniles, or will be a target for the stingrays, or will learn to eat the mucus off the discus.

I would recommend you try some of the Prochilodus species. They are very beautiful and are excellent algae eaters. They grow large but slowly. Probably a good permanent tankmate for your fish if your keeping them in a 125g or larger tank. If you ever wanted to get rid of a specimen that grew to large for your liking, you would have no problems selling it. Unlike a 12" common pleco which is worthles, a 12" Flag Tail Prochilodus would sell for $50+.
