:) hello

okay heres the scoop looking for the final fish in my 55 planted, which ive been working on all year, the filter will be a biowheel when done, not sure which but should be able to handle the setup , i may even leave the existing aquaclear on the tank just for extra filtration.

heres whats in the tank or will be by the time i get the new adition

3 Clown loaches 3 inches

5-6 platies

3 black skirt tetras

12-14 neon tetras (not sure on number anymore)

3 albino corys

2 green emperor corys

2 pearl gouramis

2 dwarf gouramis

4 ottos

3 swords (1 m 2 f)

5 zebra danios

this is a planted tank ,

i was thinking of a firemouth but im not sure how they do with neons, if they wont work, plz tell me a fish that will, by the way im only looking for a single fish, but let me know if they would work with a pair in the tank.

I would not recommend a fire mouth, neons will be bit sized for them before too long.

I really wouldnt recommend any cichlids for that tank aside from maybe

keyhole cichlids or german rams. they are the only ones really passive enough for your tetras.

Yes a krib should be fine. Also apistogrammas and angels would work. With a lighter fish load discus would also be good.

that tank seems pretty stocked but if your set on getting a cichlid id have to agree with the suggestion of a apisto or ram. youll need something small it looks like. those clown loaches will get mighty big and it would be a shame for those guys to have to compete for territory with a big mean cichlid.

http://www.apistogramma.com/

theres a link that has the lists of the huge variety of cichlids that make up the apisto family. ive got a trio of cacatu in a 29 gal and the never bother any of the other fish.

thanx for all the help, it looks like it will probably rams, bu a pair instead of the single i origianly decided, by the way the clowns are only 3 inches and once they get around 9 inches they will be moved to a much larger tank, but from what i hear this will take a few years, since they grow slow. so thanx for all the help , this will be the last fish for the tank, except maybe one more green emperor cory.
