anyone know how to make a filter for a small tank around 2 gallons? I saw one that uses a filmcase, but i couldn't get it to work.
Thanks

Easiest way: take a small plastic bottle (the small water or soda bottles work fine). Cut the bottom off. Fill the inside with sponge or filter floss. Feed an airline hose through this, so the bubbles come out just below the surface of the sponge/floss. Or, get the smallest powerhead you can find, and put a sponge over the intake.

A sponge filter probably would be your best bet...you can make one similar to this:

I wouldn't make it quite as large as this though..maybe a 2-3" foam block would be fine. You would want to attach an airstone to the end of the rigid airline tubing, however...even though it isn't pictured.

the sponge would be easiest ou dont even need the tube if you dont wanna just cut a slit and shove some marbles into it and put the airstone inside and plug it in.
