How much Co2

Well now that all my co2 stuff is in the mail I want to be ready for when it all comes in. How do I know how many bps or bpm I need? I have a 210g so is there a way to figure it out or do I just add it and adjust while watching the drop checker until its the right color??

yeah its kind of a guessing game..
watch the drop checker and wait for it to start turning green.. then slow the bubbles down a bit, so it levels off... you dont want it to turn yellow..

I think 2.5bps would be a good starting point on that large of a tank.

^^ agree with FTM
I started 1bps on my 55 and now got it running at almost 4-5
I dont have a drop checker yet.. so i played it by watching the fish.. once they act weird, means co2 is at a desired level (lol how not accurate but hey)

BK out of all the people I thought you had everything for your co2

I guess I will be messing with it when it comes in. I just dont want to hurt my fish.

lol plenty of things i dont have.. drop checker coming in this week :silly:

If you start low and after a few days increase it, you shouldnt have a problem.
For a tank your size you would need to have REALLY high bubble rate to do harm to the fish.

I am planing to have it turn off and on with the lights, I want to built that rexgrigg reactor and run it trough the fx5 I ordered. I am just thinking to either put a airstone/diffuser on the co2 tubin inside the reactor or making the pvc longer then 15" to make sure most or all the co2 delutes well. what do you think?

The only problem I see with that, you have to make the reactor serviceable, because airstones do clog after awhile.

Yeah I was thinking of two fitting that will allow me to disconect it verry easy, kind of like I have on my house filtration system. Or Maybe I will just make the reactor a little longer like rexgrigg suggests.
