Nature Aquarium Work Vols. 1, 2, and 3 by Takashi Amano

and the internet

If you want to learn a lot about Dutch or Nature Aquarium style aquascaping, the best way is to find a tank that you like, and then copy it...exactly. Try to arrange it the same way. You'll learn a lot about placement and color.

www.aquatic-eden.com does a number of aquascape analyses, they can also be helpful.

Thanks! That helps alot!

Hmmmmm no wonder I had a hard time finding it

personally I use the internet and do just jeffery said...see a tank and copy it or take a portion of what you like from it....One site I visit a lot is (I think this is the url) ratemytank.com or ratemyfishtank.com one of those I think or just google it and see what people scape and how they design their tank then go with it..another thing you can try is take fake plants, driftwood etc and a box and re arrange the plants and items in different ways

A good site I like to go to for some inspiration is the Aquatic Gardeners Association Aquascaping Contest website. Most of the entries are quite good and the winners are spectacular.

The only problem with those sites is I would love to copy them or change them a little, but I dont know what plants they use!

That's true, especially in the 1st Nature Aquarium World, when I was first interested in plants, I didnt know what he used for some of scapes.

But your in luck, since plantgeek.net and aquaticplantcentral.com both have some of the best online plant guides, and are sorted by plant type. Plus you'll learn that the most common plants all belong to families that look similar, so you'll catch on after ahwile too.
