Most puffers haven't been bred in captivity, only the puffers can tell the difference between male and female. dwarf puffers are regularily bred in captivity. I think that's pretty much it. Nobody really knows the correct water parameters that BW puffers breed in as they eventually venture out to sea, only to come back into lagoons and estuaries to breed.

Lots of folks have gotten their puffers to spawn, including my red-eye puffers, but have unsucessfully raised any fry.
Just curios, how do you get your puffers, besides dwafs to spwan? Thanks,

The only puffers that I have seen lately that have been breed in captivity then fry raised to adult status successfully is the Dwarf puffer..

What I meant is that none have successfully been reared. Many have spawned, just not enough to consider it a success.
