i just bought 6 rummys for my 10 gallon. they are so awesome and im in love.

but at night, right before going to sleep i turn on room light finding all the rummy's "dead" not really dead, but they are facing all different directions. and few are almost laying on the gravel.

is this normal?

i guess i can wait until morning to find out. thanks

I seem to remember my rummy nosed tetras were "sound sleepers". I never saw them on the gravel but they would hide in the plants and be slow to get moving in the morning when I turned the lights on.

my rummy nosed tetras all swim together but they sleep apart. They sleep really close to the substrate and under plants. Ive also noticed that at night they aren't so red they look almost all silver. So im guessing its normal unless im not understanding whats going on.
rummy nose tetras rock though.
