View Full Version : Something odd with my Java Moss

Ok so this is a recent development, I have this really thick fuzz growing in my java moss. It's basically the same color as the moss, but much thicker. It's in the moss on the right side of the pic.

Here's a pic...

Hmmm, i've not had algae like that before. What kind is it? I'll scissor it out tonight. Thanks for the ID guys :)

Actually, not bad looking stuff as far as algae goes.

Yea, definately hair algae. Contrary to what other say, I think hair algae is pretty nasty stuff. It's nearly impossible to get rid of once its there. Watch out.

Just like the others said, hair algae. My moss just started to get some also. I just pull out what I can each time I clean the tank.
