Hi guys, I'm new to this forum:)
My little 10gallon freshwater tank has just run into a problem that I can't identify (I have never seen anything like it )
There is a whitish grayish translucent looking filmy feathery thing "growing" off of the gravel that just flows with the current from the filter--it looks like it could be a fungus but I'm not sure--the fish are perfectly healthy they don't seem to have any signs of fungus on them or anything--the only reason I haven't thouroughly cleaned it out yet is because I was wondering if it could possibly be a good source of biological filtration?
but I need to find out what it is first of course;) theres nothing like it mentioned in my aquarium book and I was unable to find it online as well (although I don't really have a specific name for it to search properly;) ) If I can find the digital camera I'll upload a picture of it and put it on my webshots page for you to look at--but until then any ideas? Thanks!
