I need cheap, dead base rock. I got some "Paradise Coral" rock from my LFS and it is nice stuff, but is there a cheap place to buy it online?
I don't need live rock, but I do want my base rock to be nice, porous stuff with lots of nooks and crannies (for a blenny, for instance)
All I can find online is live rock.
I figured I would would fill my tank with dead base rock and then finally "seed" it with some live rock to try to get some coralline algae going and maybe some critters. My tank is already established so I don't need bio-filtration.
What do you think?
