I've also only kept my otos in temps of 78-80 and they are looking fine.

I have never kept the common one called golden otto... and one I kept seemed to go into a minor torpor when temps got vary far below 70, ie didn't eat didn't move around as much
the ones I have now are lazyer than the other species I had( again different than the golden... don't know if it is temperature or just them
77F here and my otos are great for the last couple of months!
