I am thinking of upgrading my lights and was wondering if anybody has any experience with this light

I guess I want to know what types of plants have you grown with this light and is there any problems with it at all. I am not that familiar with Nova.

like ozy said, depends on tank size.
But the fixture is great. Instead of getting it from petplace check drfoster. They have a newer model of same fixture where each bulb has its own reflector.

I have a 48" version of that over my 75g. 108w of T5 seems to be fine for Bacopa, Sword, and elodea, but not enough for Sagitta Sublata.
Light itseld is pretty nice, although I busted the corners of the plastic tracks trying to slide the feet in. That's a pretty poor design, but you'd ave to look really hard to notice. And it's my only complaint.

I plan on using it for a 55G. I just used the link to show which one I was talking about. I haven't decided where I plan to buy it yet. so the demensions would be 48" long and 18" high, if it matters. I don't think the light lost between an 18" high tank and a 20" tank is that significant. If we were talking feet then I would consider it. I want to be able to use this for some medium to low light plants. High output T5's are more efficient than T12's and the wpg thing works only for T12. So I really want to know what plants people have grown under the 48" version or what plants should work. By my estimate, if we go wpg, this light should be around 150 watts of T12.
you would be able to grow sags, chain swords, dwarf clover, blyxa.
Plants like HC/glosso would grow but they would get tall and leggy
