I've recently discovered my angelfish has finrot. I've treated the tank twice with "Fungus Clear" from jungle products. However, it seems the finrot is getting worse? Is there anything else I can add? i.e. aquarium salt etc?

Thanks

Fin rot is usually bacterial in nature, resulting from an oppurtunistic infection that got into a wound or when the fish was stressed from poor water conditions. Addressing why the fish got fin rot is equally important to clearing it up.

There are several broad spectrum antibiotics that will clear up fin rot, but without clean water, the fish will become easily reinfected and not heal. Ideally, treat the fish in a hospital tank where you can perform daily water changes, and not worry about killing the nitrifying bacteria in your main tank.

Salt is not a good route--it seldom kills the bacteria causing the problem, and can have other impacts on your water parameters.
