View Full Version : Can someone ID this fish for me?
Hi
Well the subject pretty much saids it all. Also is there a profile of him over in the profile section. Could I use him as an effective brown algae eater?
Thanks in advance.

It could be a gold chinese algae eater but it also looks a bit like a albino bristlenose pleco. The pic is at a weird angle so i can''t really tell. could you maybe get a close up?

Here's another link that compares the CAE to the SAE, False Siamensis, and Flying Fox. The SAE is the best algae eater of the bunch followed by the Flying Fox. The CAE can be aggressive and tends to get lazy about eating algae when it matures.

valerie: Have attached another pic but it's a bit blur. Have taken 10 pics in total but they are not very co-operative withn it comes to picture time!
Thanks fisherman for the link.
