6 gallon Nano cube

would a 6 gallon nanocube be a good planted tank? I have an extra from when I did dwarf seahorses so I was wanting a freshwater planted tank. it has an 18watt CF bulb its a 10K.....should I get a 6.5 or 6.7 what ever it is instead.....I was also wondering what kinds of plants I could get.....I dont have a co2 system and I dont wanna get one really because its so small...Ive seen some that were yeast controlled but they dont shut off at night and I heard that they only consume during the day.

any suggestions would be great
 
The 10k bulb will work fine, switch to a lower k rated bulb if you want a more yellowish light.

Yeast CO2 would work well for that size tank, who cares if it doesn't shut off at night? Flourish Excel is another alternative to add carbon.

Java ferns & moss, small crypts like C. parva or C. lucens, marsilea (dwarf clover), dwarf hairgrass, pygmy chainsword (Echinodorus tenellus), dwarf sag, anubias nana & nana petite, marimo balls, and Lobelia cardinalis small form are good choices for a small tank and around that much lighting.

I tend to stay away from stem plants for small tanks as they grow too fast.
