just bought a dwarf gourmai

one thing you have to watch for is if you dont give it enough vegies it might get a disease called dropsy (were they get all bloated and the scales stick out) and die, its happened to me three time. Be sure to give plenty of space for them to set up teritories and hiding places or they will constantly fight. good luck with your new gourami!:D

what kind of veg do you feed yours? would sinking algee pelets be suitable?

at the moment i only have one male, would it be a good idea to find a female for it? or will it be content to live allone?
 
i had one, he was a molester! he would kinda slide up to my other fish and poke them with his tentacles, it was hilarious, but my other fish didnt like him so i got rid of him
 
it depends on what your fish like, mine wont eat the sinking wafers only cucumbers and lettuce weighted down at the bottom,but it all depends on the fish.
you might want to get another male as he will constantly harrass a female you put in. the two males will fight for a day or two but then they should have established teritories. and then there should be no problems at all.
