Goldfish flakes good enough for Koi?

My koi are small, maybe 4 inches... But the koi sticks I have for them are way to big. I can break them up into smaller pieces, but lemme ask you this... Are goldfish flakes good enough? The koi have been eating them, and have bright colors and have been growing... But I dont wanna cheat the Koi... Should they be getting koi food?

Hi :) I should think goldfish flakes would be ok 'It should tell you on the back of the label what the flakes are suitable for' but you can get small pellets for coldwater fish eg goldfish, koi, orfe and shubunkins, ask at a pet shop if you are still unsure. hope I was of some help.
