Take a look at this Bifasciatum. There are three in the tank. This is the largest. The colors have just "popped" out. Just did a major cleaning of the tank...new filter media, poly filter, the works. Short of that they have been eating a lot of freeze dried krill. Awesome colors......

stunning pictures, lovely colours

have you got a picture of your whole tank? i like your pots and things, looks cool!

i used to have a tank, filled with empty glass bottels, which was quite fun, always got a comment or two. :)

Awesome fish..

lol I like the way silver dollars look all the time. Reminds me of a squirrel, looks like he could crap himself on the spot haha.

Great color on the first one. I also love those silver dollars.

What are your tankmates with the silver dollars? I'm looking to find some companions for mine but was thinking that Electric Yellows and Blues would demand a much higher Ph and thus not work. What do you think?

They are in a tank with three juvenile Bifasciatum, and a Syndontis Eupterus...and some other odd bottom feeders. Depending on what direction you want to go, there are a number of fish you could add. I have several lmuch larger SD's in the basement pond. I love using them as dither fish.

You asked in a previous post about the plants. They are all fake...plastic and silk. The cichlids only destroy the live stuff.

Here's what I have at the moment:

27G with 4 silver dollars, 2 pepper corys and 2 ottos. I'm moving the SD's to a new 40G (36x18x15) and would like to add a colorful cichlid to the tank. A friend has some Electric Yellow Haps and Electric Blues of which I was considering 1 of each. I don't know if that would work. What do you think?

Any other suggestion would be welcome. Also could you provide the full scientific name for the fish in the above picture? I wasn't able to find any "specs" on it. Thanks.
