(setup for a 75 gallon aquarium) This is a filtration system that has worked wondors for me so I thought I'd share. Start out with a canister filter that will hold foam and carbon (I use a Fluval 404). Hook it up like normal but run the plastic tubeing into a box power filter (I used a aqua clear 400). Remove the impellar housing and fill the entire filter with gravel. Make shure the hose pushes water out at the bottom of the gravel. For even beter results plant a plant in the gravel with a small grow light above it. The plant absorbs nitrate and nitrite for perfactly clean water!

Thats the best part! I have got 35 three inch severums (growing fast), two festivums of the same size, a four inch salvani, and two corys. Crystal clear water!

I'm all in favor of stocking your tanks to the fullest...but that's just wrong...35???...I don't think the knuckleheads at Petsmart would pile the fish up like that...:p

hey tone it down a notch Mr. Dude. It's not like I went out and bought 35 severums and threw them in a 75. I had two H. appendiculatus breed and 46 babies split betwine a 75 and a 55 is the net result. I am working on more tanks as I write but the point is that you should try this filtration setup.

just teasing you a little there, sweet-pants...(notice the :p )
sounds like a nice turbo powered filter, but by the time they get to 3", you need to start finding your babies good homes...:p
