We will be moving to our new house in a few weeks. I will be taking my 150 gallon tank with me. Not looking forward to moving that! I live in a bi-level now, so the lower level where the tank is has a concrete floor.

We are moving into a two story house, and I would love to put it in the family room on the first floor.

The back of the tank near the wall would be supported by an outside wall, meaning that there would be a concrete foundation there. But I would still reinforce the floor with some bracing in the basement.

I don't want this thing crashing thru the floor! Does anyone have a 150G tank on the first floor? Would you?

Thanks!!

I have been having similar problems since I just moved to a new apartment and had to abandon my 300g. Ouch. But I think you are fine, if its on the first floor its on the first floor and whats the worst that could happen? It won't spontaneously fall through the floor, you should see warping first (this happened to me once, I was able to notice it in time). Someone in this forum told me about getting an engineer to check it out to make sure, you might want to do that...
