ok first problem i have a baby angel fish who was in my 20q tank then i noticed he was swimming funny and i looked closer and one of his eyes is bulging out and cloudy!!! Popeye? is this curable or no? i moved him to a seperate 3 gal q tank and am treating with Mardel Maracyn 2 do fish ever come back from this illness and if so will he have use of his eye???

next problem also in my 20 q tank two of my new rainbow fish are showing signs of mouth fungus!!! However also in this q tank are a few hatchet fish who had ick!!! today the last of the ick crystals were gone but i planned on continuing treatment for another few days along with water changes i have raised temp to 83 - So i have some melafix it says it will stop mouth fungus- does this mean it will cure it or only work previous to getting mouth fungus and can i mix this with the ick med i was using which was jungle ick guard 2 for scaleless fish cause there is also two little pictus cats in the 20g that are waiting to be moved to my 55 gal but i guess its gonna be a while before anyone goes to my new tank

next problem the hatchet fish now that all ick is clear shoul i continue meds?? and once the fungus ,ick, and possible popeye are gone from these fish how long shoul i q them for before they are safe for my big tank???

Ahh!!
My boyfriend's angel had popeye and it proved to end up coming with dropsy later and she eventually died. It's supposed to be curable but you've got to treat it RIGHT AWAY! Yes, the eye can be cured, but usually popeye is the predecessor to worse issues.

Yes, you can mix melafix with ick medicine, I've done it before. I think the recommended time was treat for a week after the last signs of ick are gone.

I'd keep the fish in quarantine for about a month after you think everything's cured. You may want to split these fish up so they aren't exposed to EVERY disease!

You have some trouble on you hands, good luck!
