I don't think many people are using 64k bulbs, as that color spectrum is pretty low and probably would promote growth of algea. I've always stayed away from the lower K bulbs, and i've always been told to do so.
So... while I haven't used them I've heard those bulbs aren't the best. perhaps someone else that has a better understanding of light color spectrums in general will chime in.

The 6400 bulbs are what are used for freshwater planted aquariums. So getting 10000 ones would be a good start. Other than that I would think as long as you didnt have anything that required heavy light at the edges of your aquariumthe 60 inches shouldnt be too much of a problem. How many gallons? You might need more than the 300 or so watts. Someone with more reef experience can help you with that.

Those lights will work, but you will be limited to what corals you can keep. What corals do you want to keep? How tall is your tank?

I have a 36" PC with a 48" tank and it has been fine for everything. I had hard corals, stony, and soft. My tank is 24" deep. The key will be placement of the corals that require high light. Keep the gorgs and buttons towards the edges and the high light corals towards the middle and top.
My rock sits maybe 6" from the top so I can give corals pretty intensive lighting if needed. I will say however getting VHOs would be a much safer bet for ALL corals and getting one that best fits your tank to avoid hassle.
My 2 cents worth. :)
