Hey Everyone
Im new
I got a question for everyone out there with gouramis, or any info about them.
I have a dwarf gourami in a fiftenn gallon tank, and i recently added 2 little honey gouramis, 1 male and 1 female. The dwarf gourami, who is a male, is chasing themk around a lot, and even seemsto be nipping a bit atthere fins, although no damage is being done. Is this normal? I added them yesterday(monday)
Any info would be aprreciated. Thanks.

From what I read they can get quite territorial. Do you have any plants or decorations in the tank? If not then I highly suggest doing so as this give line of sight block and helps to keep aggression down. The gourami in my moms tank spends a good portion of the day fighting with the flying fox. So they can be a bit on the nasty side.

Yes I see my gouramies chasing each other all the time so that is normal. In one tank I have opaline, 3-spot, and gold gouramies. In another I have 2 male dwarfs. Like TKOS said, make sure you have lots of places to hide and block sight. The 2 dwarfs generally stay away from each other but when they do met they are always charging at each other.

If you start to see fin ripping (actual damage) then that is not normal. You have a problem if that occurs.
