Dwarf Frogs

i have had multible frogs and they haven't done so well. i currently only have one frog still alive in my tank with my other fish. just wondering if there is anything else that has to be done for them?


Also wondering about live plants, I haven't really tried them but they seem to be intersting and any tips on what would be good to start with? I have multiple colorful rocks and plants in the tank and a small log tunnel for them to hide, but think i still need more hiding places.

my 28g tank has 12 adult fish unsure of all the names of them, 1 frog and 20 platy fry in a net, and 2 algea eaters.
 
You may want to feed him something else also---worms (tubiflex, blood, glass, ect).
 
I have a nine-year-old African Dwarf Frog. They should be kept in a tank no deeper than 30cm and are best kept by themselves as they are slow eaters. There should not be any surface movement. I suggest switching to frozen or freeze-dried bloodworms and moving the frog to a different tank which does not contain fish. Many will say that this is unnecessarry, but I have living proof that it is. All frogs have slightly different temperments, but I think this is best for YOUR frog. We have three ADF's and have to feed them blood worms witha turkey baster shot directly overhead, or into a small dish right in front of them. They don't do so well with fish as they are always out competed for food. I always wonder how they fair in the wild...
 
The reason for them surviving in the wild is that they come from swamps with a low line of sight so they do not usually need to be fast. The only fish in their habitat are slow eaters like the African Rope Fish (don't buy one of these because it will try to eat your frog). They use camoflauge to survive. Finally they reproduce like crazy in the right settings and back before my male died (it got stuck under a rock), my two frogs would lay eggs almost every day.
