Emperor 280 or 400 for my 37 gallon tank?

What one would be better for my 37 gallon tank... I have the 280 now but will get the 400 if it would do any good.. Is the one i got enough or should i go to the 400... Got 2 angels and this in there

Got ripped on the 280 at my local pet shop.. 79.99 :mad:
 
An Emporer 280 is rated up to a 50 gallon tank. You should be fine. And yes, you got ripped a new one with that price. On bigalsonline.com the 280 sells for $33. Even full retail at the LFS shouldn't have been more than $55. Thieves!

Ya i know i got ripped.. but hey.. what can you do.. it's just money.... I got plenty more to give away :D.. nothing to get mad at... I just saw a 90 gallon tank the other day i really liked.. may have to upgrade after 2 weeks.. lol...
 
I find anytime you (anyone) gets into a new hobby, their first transaction is a bend-over with no lube job...

However, the LFS's and other hobby shops need to rip some ppl off or they wouldn't be in bussiness... I doubt they make a butt-load of money off of 99cent danios and neon tetras ;) But who knows, they might pay 5 cents a peice... :D

Don't let it get ya down... the first gun I bought I over paid by 200 bucks.... Good news is, it hasn't happened since :cool:

I think the emp. 400 would be over kill for your tank. the emp. 280 or penguin 330 would be perfect IMO.
