Yo-yo loach digging deep for food. I've seen him go nose first up to his eyeballs, but I wasn't able to get a clear pic.

And I uploaded a new pic to my tank profile: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16126

ENJOY!!!

I looked at your picture of your neons and at your tank specs page... either there are two neons that are not in the picture or you are down by two from what you say you have in the tank

cool tank... a little to much zoo for me but I like the idea

DUde!! awesome yo-yo loach.. ohh... thats a awesome fish

I'm OK with the zoo thing. Each group gives me different behavior to observe. They look decent to boot. It's not as subtle as I see most tank here, but I prefer to be different. I really don't like the look of the plants, but they will change in the future.

How do you like that yo-yo loach? I feel that they are very underrated. I have 3 and they are very very active and not afraid of me at all. I put my hand in the tank and they all come over. WHen I add more water, the juvies play in the current. I love to watch them play in the output current.

Nice sized tank and quite a variety there...
Have you tried a black background yet. I know some may not like the look, but I think it looks good, that or a dark rock formation.. :)

I'll be working on the background in the future. Yeah, it will likely be black. I'm going to get some lexan or plexiglass and spraypaint it.

As for the loach, it's kind of a crackhead. It runs circles on the side of the tank which drives me nuts. BUT....when it's not doing that it's a great scavenger. Like I said, it digs really deep when it smells something and makes sure to check all of the cracks and crevices in the plant roots for food. Because I didn't want a dozen fish running laps, I only got the one...plus a striped loach for company. Even though thay have different dememanors, the still hang out quite a bit.

Here's some bad video of the crackhead loach: http://webpages.charter.net/res0t2li/crackhead.MPG (3MB)

:)

Hehehe. I showed my little niece (nearly 5) the video feed and she turned around and said ... "I want you get a yoyo fish too, then I can play yoyo with it like that one"

The things they say!

I like the size of your tank. We'll be upgrading shortly but are waiting for engineer approval of the new piers we have had to put in for it.

Nice yo yo loach! I like him alot. I have tried to make a school of tetras before but it never worked due to ich always killing them. Even with treatment they die :sad I envy you! :p
