Would dosing Excel cause the pH to rise? I isnt at a dangerous level, something I just want to keep an eye on and this is my first time using a product of this nature and wasnt sure if it had something to do with it or not, any imput or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Can't speak for the liquid...

I've got the Flourish tabs- and the tabs warn that in soft water they actually LOWER the pH. I did observe this in my tank.

Excel is actually acidic, but you won't be dosing enough for it to lower the ph of your water.

If you just added water to the tank Co2 that gasses off would cause pH to rise.

Co2 is not present in this tank, and the pH rose.

But Co2 is found dissolved in water. If you had recently done a water change, the Co2 would gas off and you would notice a pH rise because Co2 is acidic.
