Hey have you seen those tronics heater guards? It like a plastic sleeve thats round on the outside and hexagonal on the inside. I picked one up today and I'm wondering if its safe to use it on my ebo jager TS model, assuming it fits right. I'm wondering if it will make hot spots on the glass and reduce the long term reliability, maybe this is why I haven't seen one from Ebo Jager. I also wonder if the tronics heater its designed for is electronic like the name sounds and the Ebo isn't. The idea is very appealing to me because I've noticed my Oscar is afraid to go anywhere near my heater. There's no Ebo Jager website anywhere is there?

i don't see why it wouldn't work.......

the only suggestion i would have is to put it in the path of your filter circulation if possible. the more current flowing over it the less chance of hot spots if they did occur.

post your results if you try it please. :)
