Too much flow?

I have 2 Aquaclear 301's and the Ecosystem filter which is run by a 200gph mini pump, on my 30 long. I only had one AC:301 until today, now I think I should have just left it with one, here's why:

The tentacles on the plate coral move a lot. And the firefish is always hiding now, one clown hides under a rock-shelf, the other on one side of the tank where I assume the flow is less.

I considered taking one of the powerheads out, but I dunno. What you guys think? I heard 15pgh per gallon was good, and this gives me 17ish-gph per gallon.

Thats the ugliest plate coral Ive ever seen. :o ;)

Anyways, theres pretty much no way you have too much water movement. As long as your powerheads arent blowing directly at the coral your fine. Look for other reasons why the fish are hiding.

I'd give the fish a day or three to get used to the new conditions. We change around our powerheads often, and it always takes the fish a little while to get used to the new flow.

It is pretty hard to get too much flow. If you have a powerhead blasting directly at a large-polyped coral, then you can get polyp separation, but most like to wave in the breeze.

Oh, and that's a nice-looking plate coral.

Thanks :) And the polyps just sway, i aimed the powerheads more toward the surface as instructed by Reefscape.
