I just bought a Red Oscar for my 10 gallon tank. He is only 3 inches long from tip of his nose to the end of his tail. He seems to want to eat and eat and eat. Every single time i walk by the tank he swims right up to the glass as if he wants me to throw him in a pork chop or a T-bone steak or something. He has the 10 gallon to himself but my question is how big is this guy going to get and how fast will he get there ?

If you search "oscar" on this forum you should get tons of threads to read up on this fish with. However, I will say that your fish will get 12+ inches and in a hurry. You are going to need a much larger tank when all is said and done. 75 gallons or more is recommended. You may want to look into trading him in for a smaller fish if you do not think you can get a larger tank. Good luck!

Oh man you will need to get a bigger tank really soon. Too long in that small of a tank will end up stunting its growth and probably ending its life really shortly.
