Freshwater Planted tank with fish, Compact flourescent lights, 20/21", staight pin arrangement. Thats what I have. What do I need? 55 or 65 watt, actinic, 50-50, daylight lamps? I'm having a devil of a time finding information on the needed spectrum if I find that then I can't find the spectrum of the different makes and models of lights. "Compact flourescent" is a useless search term. Somewhere I ran across a site which gave spectrum breakdowns for most available lights by size, type, brand etc. I thought I had the page bookmarked but guess I didn't. I think it was there that I found this light; "GE F55BX/AR/FS - 55 WATT 4800 LUMEN 9325K" There are all kinds of links to it on the web but no one has it in stock. Trying to find a similar lamp has been a study in futility. I like this one based on personal experience. It has a very pleasant visual spectrum, and my plants have gone bonkers under it! Any suggestions? Favorites?

Dr. Foster&Smith sells those:

If they are out of stock have you tried contacting them to see when they are in stock or if there's a reason they're out of stock?

Try here:

http://lightbulbsdirect.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=F55BX-AR-FS

They're out of stock right now, but keep checking. I can't believe the Dr. jacked their price up to $29.99 for these bulbs. I got them on sale from the Dr. for $12.99 right around Christmas time last year.
