I've read the archived posts on fin rot and think I've answered some immediate concerns, but can anyone tell me the best environment for my week-old fancy guppy fry? They are currently living in a 10gal. w/2 platys and 3 tetras being treated for fin rot. Maracyn administered for the last 4 days, and water changed twice this week, once 50%, once 30%. They are in a floating breeder box. Maracyn was put in when the carbon filter was less than 5 days old, which I now realize was a bad thing. Ammonia and Nitrite levels fluctuating and problematic: (.50 and .25 respectively today). Do I move them to the newly established 55gal. tank we set up over Thanksgiving or leave them be? New tank has good readings so far, has not completed cycling I'm sure, and houses a rogue killifish we moved from the 10gal. right away because he ate a tetra (our ignorance). This morning I also put our Julii Cory in the big tank because he's the only fish that shows no signs of fin rot. Are all my fish doomed?
