Auratus........

I saw my Auratus cichlid do the coolest thing..............

I got this lava rock in the tank for deco and he was pulling gravel out and made a cave under it......... It looked so cool watching him do it. He probably dug around the gravel on the opposite corner, i'm glad i got him.,

Has anyone else seen this done or got big gravel holes in their tanks like mine?

That's exactly what lots of malawi cichlids (and others) do to create a spawning-place or territory.
During that time, the Auratus can be pretty aggressive towards the other inhabitants in your tank, so keep an eye on him.
