I like skirted tetras ,cardinal Hatchets, serpaes and penguinor hockey sticks. What would be the hardest kind and have a top, middle and bottom swimmining area? What would be my bottom feeder? I have harder water and 45 gallon to work with. Thanks for any help.

ooooo if thats the case, get 8 or so cories to school together on the bottom. I love the different corydoras out there today, and they dont get all that big (1.5 inches or so) so it usually works out well. Remember that they need to be fed more than algae, infact they dont even eat algae like some larger catfish does.

Hatchetfish are Hatchetfish, not tetras, but a small group (6-8) of them would look nice in the top section of your aquarium. Amke sure there isn't any open space, because I've read these guys like to jump.
Cardinal tetras are pretty standar, but they're still nice. You could get a group of them, or get hockey stick tetras, it's up to you.
