I'm quite amazed at how active a crayfish is. I guess I was warped by all the lobsters I see in tanks up here into thinking they were slow and didn't move much. Never occurred to me that she (I think it's a she) would start climbing the fake plants. :)
Also strange to see little crayfish footprints. All the pics I've seen were gravel, and I' have sand in the tank.

Does it have a name? Or is that something experienced fishkeepers don't do? I have a tendency to get attached, maybe I should stop naming my fish, shrimps and plants. Hehehe, all of my ghost shrimps are named Pierre after the French shrimp in Finding Nemo.
If you get a chance to go scuba diving and see lobster out in the ocean they are a really cool thing to watch. In the open sandy areas they move really fast and then stop to try and attack you, very funny.

The only lobster I see are destined for my plate :)
And I think I'm calling it "Lobster" cause that's what my three year old named it :)

Nope, just a dialect thing. Crawfish started in the Bayou, I believe.
Bascially, just little lobsters. :)
Around here we call then crawdads. They're not very tasty though.

You just need to the right additions to the meat. :)
Alththough, with real lobster, just cook it, then chill it, then give me 20 or so...

It's a lot more work to eat cray/craw fish/dads (wow) than it is to eat lobsters, because you have to eat so many more to equal a lobster. sure are worth it though :p

Well, for the little guys, I'd use them in a stew or something (probbaly a seafood chowder with some shrimp, clams, mussles, mmm...) so there would be more of it.
But, seriously, just give me 20 lobster on the plate, I don't even need lemon.
