I've had a hard time selecting lighting for a 47G tall aquarium. Measures 20x18x31. after a week searching, reading, etc... I decided on a fixture by Catalina Aquarium. I always wind up going back to those guys. I ordered a 20" PC, 3 bulbs, 3 cords, 3 switches. I wanted the 3 cords & switches. Since they offered my choice of bulbs, I opted for 1 each 10000K, 6500K and Plant Grow, each buld is 36W. All this, including the legs, vented top ( I prefer no fans) for $100.00. Any opinions/comments?

IMO---A plant grow is a 6500K.

I would get 2 6500K and the one 10000K so it is not too yellow.

PS--I keep my tanks at 1/2 6500K and 1/2 10000K

The plant grow is close to the 6500 but a bit more pink, which is supposed to be great for red plants which I have a lot of. I just like the customization Catalina offfered. I can set 3 different times
