I want to buy cured rock for a tank that already has fish. Has anybody had experience with this website, www.aquacon.com? If not, I was wondering if some of you could check it out and tell me if you would order from there. Are there any other sites that people have ordered from that has cured rock that could be recommended.

I haven't dealt with them, but apparently the "con" in the name is quite descriptive. There are plenty of good online suppliers, such as Tampa Bay (http://www.tampabaysaltwater.com), Dr Mac (http://www.drmaccorals.com/sys-tmpl/door/), Premium Aquatics (http://www.premiumaquatics.com), Gulf View (http://www.gulf-view.com/) and so on.
How big is the tank, and what do you want to do with it?
There is a forum about vendors on Reef Central (http://www.reefcentral.com), you will probably find some good rants if you do a search for Aquacon.

I thought about that con part last night after I wrote the post. Thanks for you're advice. The tank is a friends of mine that needs a little help. There is only plastic plants in it. It's a 33g tank. I wanted to add some live rock to it and get rid of the plastic stuff. There is gravel in it and I wanted to replace it with sand. They did no research on sw tanks before setting one up. There's a real bad algae problem as well. Just want to help out a little.

I would be worried about the amount of die off your going to see in the LR if you purchase it during this time of year. Depending on how much LR your wanting to put in the tank at 1 time i would probably try to re-cure the rock before i put it in my main tank. If you dont have anything to recure the rock in, another option would be to purchase cured rock locally. It will be more expensive but you also wont have to re-cure it.
I personally havent dealt with the website you mentioned so i cannot comment on them. But i know many people who have ordered from the websites Mogurnda listed and have been very pleased.
Walrus, why would there be more die off in the live rock this time of the year. I have purchased live rock about 8 times different times of the year and have not had a problem putting it in my tank. that is straight from the plane to the tank. The rock that I purchase is supposedly pre cured. Only ever ordered from JLAquatics. , guess because I am from Canada.
