Jack Dempsey questions?

I just got to Jack dempseys and had to take my kenyis back to my lfs because the were chasing them all the time and they seem to hide alot but they have came out a little bit more since the kenyis are gone will the come out more?or do jd's like to hide and also do they like flake food or what tdo they like they didnt seem to enthused about the flake food and one last queston thier top fin has red on it is that hoe most are? thanxs alot appreciate the help.:D

The JD will come out more. And yes, fake plant will be ok.

What size tank do you have that guy in? Need about 55g tank for a full grown JD.

I feed my JD frozen blood worm, brine shrimp, and mysis. Flake food is just Spirulina. Pellets are just hikari gold.
