Ok so i got back to school today and i noticed that my mollys had a fry...my 2 gallon is back at home so i dont have a place to put it, should i put it in a mug and change the water all day?

Try adding a pile of hiding places. Bushy plants (real or fake) are a big help. Don't worry too much, if you lose this one, there will be hundreds more.

I don't know how dense your tank is, but the denser the planting, the more likely fry survival is. It's certainly a better shot than a beer mug.

sorry bout that double take:) it wouldnt be a beer mug, i have an insolated coffee mug that holds a fair amount of water in it. oh well i will just try the cover technique.

i will be going home on thurs. assuming that the fish makes it that long will it be ok in my 2 gallon, if the 2 gallon doesnt have a heater

The best way to keep baby fish from getting eaten is to grow them fast. The best way to do that is to keep them in a stable, clean environment, which is really hard to do in a 2 gallon. It may be possible to do it in the 2, but it depends on how stable the room temp is and how you plan to keep it clean.
