i recently bought a dafadil brichardi and i wanna try to breed him or her. i ve been in the fish hobby for about 7 year and i ve never bred anything yet i did have rams that laid eggs but they never hatched i belive because of the ph it was about 7.2. right now i have him in a 30 gal by him self. hes about 2 1/2 inches long. i put crushed coral in the filter to raise the ph and i m feeding him veggie flakes and meat flakes. my plan is to get about 5 more brichardi's and i was gonna put them in one at a time till i find one he get along with. any advice would be helpfull

What size tank are you going to be doing this in? I would jsut add all the brichardi at once and then let them form pairs. Keep one pair and take out the rest as breeding brichardi are very territorial.
here is a great article about them

Depending on your tank size i would stick with a pair but maybe 2 pairs if the tank is big enough.
This fish is cool as it forms a colony with the older fry helping take care of the new fry. I wouldn't mind getting a pair next time i have a tank open.
Good luck:D
