Greetings
Can anyone tell me the best way to clean a python gravel cleaner??
The hose is about 10 years old, has been put away for about 6 years....It has alot of black in the hose...I am using it for water changes now but would like to know is there a way to clean that stuff out of the hose
Thanks

I clean my tubes with oxyclean--fill a sink with hot water, fill the tube with water, then pour in the oxyclean. I work it up and down the tube, then let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse well. This works well for my 50 foot hose, in addition to the shorter ones. It will help if you rinse it with fresh water blow out the water before putting it away after each use.
I'm lazier than OG, I mix the Oxyclean with hot water, suck it into the Python and let it sit half an hour and then rinse well.
Normally at home I suck all the water out out while storing the hose, and as OG says, it stays good. The hose I used at the office got put away with residual water regularly, and did get junky, so I used the Oxyclean periodically.

Good question. I was wondering how they get cleaned too. Thanks everyone. I just ordered a 50' python Yesterday from BA's.

RTR--as my significant other always says--work smarter, not harder! Thanks for the tip!
