Hi,
have got a 460litre (120 gallon) tank. am in the process of planting it, but want to know before i put my fish from 2 x 100L tanks (guppies, platties, 3 types of cory, 2 whiptails, 2 bristlenose, neon/black/glowlight and ember tetra. Can these live safely with diamond tetras? i have been told they will attack my guppies and corys. (they are much bigger than all my other fish)
have put the diamonds in a 250litre tank so are seperate at present.
i would rather give away the diamonds (which came with the big tank) rather than loose any of my other fish.
any advice would be most appreciated....

I just checked every profile I could find on Diamond tetra. All said they are peaceful. One said they may bother longer finned fish. Another specifically stated that they had never known a diamond tetra to be nippy but could possibly happen if they were not in a school.

So you will probably be fine but do keep an eye on your guppies when you move them and be prepared to move them back to a smaller tank if there is any serious aggression.

As for cories, I've never known anything to harrass a cory, not a second time, anyway. They are covered with little spikes and are very unpleasant to bite. kinda like aquatic porcupines. :D

I have large Diamonds too, they stay mostly together. Have never seen them bother any other fish.
