I still think this is a blue acara...sry about the quality, its the best I can do at the moment.

What do you think? GT? His forehead is much more noticable than the other blue acara male.

This guy below is definatly a blue acara, just to show you a comparison between the two. See how his head isn't as large as the one above. Also the colouration of his fins.

How big is this guy? It looks more like blue acara to me than GT. Could be wrong. It is somewhat hard to see from the pic.

Yeah I'm pretty sure its a blue acara. Hes about 2.5-3" now.

The only drama is the white on his fins, and his black spot is kinda 2 spots side by side. Also his noggin is alot bigger than the other male.

Also in the second picture, you see a yellow/orange tinge which is actually his pectorial fin. None of the other Blue Acaras have this coloured pectorial fin.

The speckles would make me believe it is an acara.

That's what I noticed too, DarvthV.

It isn't just the speckles that I observed. Another way to tell for sure is Blue Acara has vertical bars. GT has horizontal scales (no bars at all).

the big forehead and lack of orange in the dorsal makes him an odd looking acara if thats what he is. mine looks exactly like the second picture of the definite acara.
