I wrote down all the suggested plants from my thread I made about tall plants for my 37g tank, and off I went to the LFS. When I got there, I realized I forgot my list. :hitting:

Nevertheless, I recognized the names of the plants from my list and I ended up with 2 Onion Plants. I told the guy there that my tank was tall, so he pulled out the biggest Onion Plant he could find. It is HUGE.

Small one:

I never knew Onion plants got so big. All the other stores sell them at a much smaller size.

Too lazy to rescape since I did a WC on that tank today, maybe tomorrow, if not Saturday or Sunday. :D

I do not see an onion plant.

I see 2 Java Ferns, an Anubius, and 2 Apon. (I think Undulatus).

Yep, onion plants are in the crinum family. What you have are aponogetons.

****.

Also, bubble walls in planted tanks are bad.

Really? I'm guessing it has to do with C02 distribution?

No wonder they didn't look like normal Onion Plants.

Will they be ok in my .54 something WPG tank?

I bought the Seachem Starter park today, will these help?

looks like a aponogenton undulatas to me to, onions look like vals.
they should be fine in the tank, i have some in 0.3 wpg and they grow in the shade fine. the seachem stater pack should be fine ( flourish, iron and excel) but you really dont have enough plants to use alot of ferts so i would dose the minimum amounts. if you over dose the ferts you will be feeding any algae in the tank.

Thanks for the info. I currently have Nutrafin Plant Growth stuff, about a week or twos worth. Once its done I'll start with the Seachem. I should have more plants in the tank by then.

BTW I have a Java Moss Wall back there, but the moss seems to be turning brown! It was a lush green when I received it, and the Moss tied onto driftwood in my 20g is fine, as is the Moss wall in my 10g. Ideas?

It's window screen. Used the same for the 10g wall. I know it takes months to fill in, but it shouldn't be turning brown. The moss in my 10g didn't.

Personally, I would just root feed those plants.
