I started a 10gal tank about 2 months ago, to see how well I could do with salt water. Everything has been going great, live sand, live rock. I love watching the bristle worms and the little crab that was in the live rock that I didn't know about until I got home. I have a clown fish and a damsel in the tank now, along with 2 hermits. I was planning on using this until I bought my 55 gal. I'll cut to the chase. Everything was going great, then out of nowhere, I see these little white things on the glass. They have a solid, round center, and tiny, hair-like arms or whatever. I have no idea what they are. My fish don't have any of these on them. Can someone please help. Thanks.

Welcome to Aquaria Central! From the sounds of things they are probably copepods or amphipods both of which are very good and most fish will eat them. So nothing to worry about. They are generally the signs of a good healthy tank! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the welcome and the reply. I checked those names you gave me on the net and they sound like you are right on the money. Here is my problem. I don't think my clown or damsel are eating any of these and they seem to be multiplying quickly. Any suggestions as to what would eat these. I just don't want these to get out of control. Thanks again.
