Beautiful fish, you may need to focus the camera a bit more, though.
 
4mega pixels. i found that without the flash i couldnt get an appature and shutterspeed good enough to take clear shots so ended up using flash. any ideas?
 
Is there a sports mode? That ususally works best for me without a flash. Also, try to pre-focus (holding button down half way on many cameras) ahead of time on something like the thermometer strip and then when you snap the picture of the fish the focus will be set properly. In your picture you can see that the focus was on the background and not the fish in the foreground.

Typically, only about 1 out of 20 pictures I take of the fish come out any good. So I just take a lot of them and then weed out the good ones.

I've found that the color is much more natural without a flash, but it's difficult to get a well-focused image. Here's a picture where the colors came out accurate and the fish in the foreground is in better focus than the 2nd fish and background:
