Looks good, but i have two suggestions: Get a background of some sort goin! A black one would look good, either use some construction paper, wrapping paper, or paint. And get some more rock too! One thing i noticed about my africans is you can never have too many rocks...they love caves and places to hide!

lol yeah im gunna get a background, just havent gotten to it yet. I wanna get more rocks, but thats just what i had for the time being. What kinda rocks should i get and also where do i get em?

Trying comparing your fish to pics on Cichlid Recipe .

As for the tank, it's a good start, but you need MANY more rocks in there. More rocks, and less plants. Stack them up against the back wall and makes caves, etc. You can use almost any inert rock. Slate, granite, limestone, petrified wood, quartz, lava rock, lace rock, etc. Just don't use that clear glass rock, looks to unnatural. You can silicon pieces together or onto the back wall of the tank to make a background, which looks cool (but is permanent, I guess).

updated pics, i know i still need my black background, i was also thinkin of getting those marine-glo bulbs, whats the best ones to get?

Nice looking tank. I agree with the comments about the benefit of more rockwork. That will be especially important if any of your fish start to breed.

Most mbuna are more comfortable with the backs of the tanks covered. I have several tanks where I've covered the side walls, too, and they seem more at ease with that set up. I don't like it for being able to see as well, but the mbuna in those tanks tend to hide a bit less.

as soon as i finished with the rocks they immedietly started exploring. I'll prolly get more rocks, 10 cents a pound aint too shabby.
