Second on that question. At that size unless you flip it over and check the sex organs I wouldn't know how yo could tell sex..male or female.

While nobody could be 100% sure without close inspection, I would guess that is a female due to the rounded off fins and the slope of the head. That fish looks to be about 4 or 5 inches, correct?
